Tato Tato is the name for the hot, vast desertland of Scarla. It is mostly unuinhabitable, with very scarce sources of water and vegetation. Travelling through it is hellish and it would be unadvisable to stand too long in the same spot. The heat that radiates of the coarse sand that stretches on forever is enough to cause serious sunburn, even roasting. |

Baxtalo Paanii Once again, the gypsies were very accurate in the naming of Baxtalo Paanii which means "lucky water". Many stumbling across this large salt lake when it is full would call themselves quiet lucky. And they would be true, for the lake is highly unpredicable. It can be full one month and then be empty for two years, but it would only be a month before it fills up again. No one knows what causes this irregular pattern. When Baxtalo Paanii is full, it is a wonderous place, with thousands of birds all flocking there, and green grass that can grow to waist high. But when it is empty, it is almost indistinguishable from the rest of the desert, the only sign are the skeletons of the birds that did not leave when the water did. |

Seeker Base Camp The scrub becomes suprisingly thick before suddenly opening up into a large clearing. However, the clearing is not empty, but filled to the brim with tents and people scurrying everywhere. In the center there is a relatively large hill with a large tent set at the base. This is the Seeker's base camp. The largest tent is the meeting tent, where the High Seekers will meet. At the far side is a large fenced off arena next to the stable building. Towards the east is the communal eating place, with three large cooking fires and many other smaller fire places spread out around it. The base camp is often buzzing with activity and will only have guards set around the perimeter when it is empty. When it is full, it would take an army to penetrate it. This is the best kept secret in Scarla, maybe even in the whole of Estora. |
